I have looked at the demise and ultimate collapse of the Habsburg empire before in my ‘Society’ and ‘Die Kleinen Geister’ collections. This continuation of the latter; rather then being a homage to Klimt, Schiele and Kokoschka, these drawings are a celebration of the poets living and working in Austria at this time of political upheaval and social change.
